Emergency Services
Emergencies can manifest as sudden accidents, severe injuries, acute illnesses, or any condition posing an imminent threat to your pet’s life. These situations require immediate veterinary care. Examples of true emergencies may include severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, sudden collapse, seizures, ingestion of toxic substances, acute and significant trauma, or signs of severe pain. In the event of an emergency during our business hours, please call Ark Animal Hospital to speak with our qualified veterinary staff for assistance.
Assessment of your pet will determine emergency care necessary and may include:
- In-house bloodwork
- Sedation/Anesthesia
- X-rays and ultrasound
- Urinanalysis
- Emergency Surgery
- IV fluids
- Injectable/Prescription medications
- Pain management
- And other treatment as deemed necessary
Should an emergency occur outside of regular business hours, Ark Animal Hospital partners with two other local veterinary hospitals to provide after-hour emergency services. Call our hospital and you will be directed to the on-call veterinary staff. Please leave a brief and detailed message with your immediate contact information. Your call will be returned in a timely manner.
