Illness and Urgent Care
Urgent care conditions are not life threatening but include conditions that should not wait for multiple days as they can worsen significantly. These conditions may include: Lethargy, Anorexia, Vomit, Diarrhea, Limping/Lameness, Ear infections, Skin problems, Small wounds, and more. Assessment of these animals may require more extensive diagnostics. Calling and talking to the veterinary staff can help discern between urgent and emergency services needed.
Diagnostics at our hospital include:
- In-house bloodwork
- X-rays and ultrasound
- Urinalysis
- Cytology services
- Referral lab work
- Allergy Testing
Treatment of some of these conditions include
- IV fluids
- Injectable/Prescription medications
- Minor surgery
- Wound care
- Pain management
